The Emergency Medical Services Funding Task Force will meet on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Capital in Pierre, SD. The SDACC will be giving a presentation on the state of Emergency Services in South Dakota and the impacts on county residents and county budgets. Senate Bill 89, sponsored by Republican Sen.
Tim Reed of Brookings, creates the Emergency Medical Services Funding Task Force that will meet five times during the interim prior to the 2027 legislative session. Joining Reed on the task force is the legislation’s House lead sponsor, Democratic Rep.
Eric Emery of Rosebud, who leads the Rosebud Sioux Tribe ambulance service.
